My Substack seems to be working just fine since I sent my last newsletter: I’m back, baby!
I’m going to see if I can stick with headlines. My brain works better as a stream of consciousness, but I know for readability, headlines are helpful.
For Everyone
I’m going to jump right in with a recommendation that you listen to this whole podcast series by Mark Gober:
The third episode was probably my favorite, but the whole series won’t take you long and the podcast is set up in a way that listening to each episode builds on the last. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
And while I’m recommending podcasts, I want to share this one with y’all because I had so much fun talking with Nicole Sciacca:
Nicole is in LA, and I’m sending a lot of love to the City of Angels. There appear to be some similarities between the LA fires and the ones in Lahaina, but for now, I am praying that those impacted by the fires can find peace and safety.
I’ve not traveled since getting back from Stockholm, which has been a really nice break from travel, but I’ll be teaching twice in February and three times in March, so if you’re a chiropractor, there are plenty of opportunities to learn and hang out!
For the Chiros
First up: the R2P Symposium! I am really excited for this event because Drs. Dimak, Schultz, and myself have truly co-created the entire seminar. It’s been really fun to work together, play off of each others’ strengths and expertise, and create a one-of-a-kind seminar experience with lots of hands-on time and plenty of clinical pearls.
We’ll be exploring all sorts of aspects of Women’s Health, and I’d love to see you there! Click the photo below to register.
Then I’m headed to Frederick, MD, to teach an MPI Spine course, so for those of you DCs in the greater DC area or just the Northeast region in general, I hope to see you there. We don’t often get great courses in this part of the country, so take advantage and get CE credits that you actually enjoy while fine-tuning your adjusting and palpation skills.
Then in March, I’m teaching a Clinical Pearls course at the office where I did my chiropractic internship and home of my mentor in Cincinnati. We’ll cover prenatal, pediatric, postpartum, and pelvic floor treatments. You know, the Ps.
I’ll be at Parker Vegas again, which I love. I don’t love Vegas; it’s not really my favorite place. But I love the Parker Vegas seminar because it’s always full of great information and speakers. I’m so excited to be discussing Pediatric Movement Assessment and how we can learn movement strategies during the first year of life that impact us through the lifespan.
There are some great keynote presenters at Parker Vegas this year (I’m not counting Jay Shetty because I saw this video five years ago and it aged well). I’m really excited to hear from Andrew Huberman since he’s done so much research on cold plunging. I’ve been reaping the benefits of ice baths for over 20 years now, so the research isn’t so much for me as it is for helping patients understand why on earth getting into cold water is something I’ve intentionally done for two decades and why they ought to try it.
And then we’re rescheduling our April moveMentors course because we just realized that we accidentally scheduled it for Easter weekend, which is super late this year and lands on 4/20. So enjoy the day in whatever way feels right for you, but don’t plan on being in a seminar with Dr. Boland and me.
For the Raleigh Locals
In February, we’re hosting two workshops specifically addressing common injuries that we see in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes. Even if you’ve never done BJJ, anyone is welcome to sign up for these free workshops, which will focus on mobility, stability, and recovery.

And in other exciting things happening around here:
Hey, I know them! I was really thrilled to be recognized as “Best Chiropractor” for the second year in a row by Wake Living magazine. So if you cast your vote, thank you so much for that! They actually did a featured article on us, which you can see here or in their print version (you probably walk past their magazine when you’re checking out at the grocery store - this one’s cover is full of donuts!).
Rabbit Hole
Admittedly, I didn’t always keep an eye on these things, but there appears to be an uptick in gene therapy being approved by the FDA via their Accelerated Approval pathway. Kind of like those gene therapy injections they rolled out at the end of 2020. Those worked out well, right?
This specific gene therapy (Kebilidi) is directly injected into the brain via the use of a SmartFlow Neuro Cannula. This signifies the first-ever FDA marketing authorization of a device used to deliver gene therapy directly to regions of interest within the brain.
The FDA granted authorization of the SmartFlow Neuro Cannula to ClearPoint Neuro, Inc.
The FDA granted approval of Kebilidi to PTC Therapeutics, Inc.
I’m not saying anything, and I know nothing else about this man, but Dr. Matthew Klein happens to be on the board of ClearPoint Neuro and is the CEO of PTC Therapeutics. That seems like an interesting link to me. I know this type of doubling-down of board and CEO roles is common, but this seemed pretty significant given the milestone authorizations from the FDA.
While we’re down this rabbit hole, and since I already mentioned the covid shots, I I’m halfway through this interview with Dr. Mike Yeadon on UK Column and it’s thus far worth watching. In order to not repeat 2020 and the entire covid debacle, it’s important that we learn from the past.
This other video from Dr. Yeadon is more concise and equally worth a watch:
And since we’re here, this long-form article from A Midwestern Doctor sure has lots of information regarding vaccines.
And that’s all for now! Enjoy the reading, videos, and the podcasts!
Talk soon,
L
You are one busy chica! Great stuff, Lindsay. And speaking of great stuff, I'm currently reading your book and LOVING it. Your voice and humor sparkle throughout, and the info you're providing is helping me greatly. I had an MRI for low back pain and discovered all 5 lumbar discs with some level of damage. WTF!? After reading, however, I'm starting to suspect that my sucky pelvic floor may be implicated. Thanks for continuing to put the truth out there in everything you do! (And damn, do I wish you were my chiro. I have a sneaking suspicion that my dude is ALSO implicated in effing up my low back 🤨)
LOVED every second of our conversation and loading up my podcast playlist to listen to your recommendations. MUMMA 4-EVA!! xx
